Paul Arena-Camarillo is a distinguished trial lawyer with years of experience navigating the complicated intersections of criminal law.  Mr. Camarillo, a former Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney and Senior ADA for Cobb and Fulton Counties, gained a reputation for his work on high profile, complex, multi-defendant prosecutions involving organized crime, criminal street gangs, and narcotics/drug rings.

As a Deputy Chief ADA, Paul supervised a number of specialized prosecution units, including Homicide, Gangs, White Collar, and Special Victims (SVU).  As an organized crime prosecutor, he specialized in using the Georgia R.I.C.O. Act and the Georgia Street Gang Act to dismantle organized crime groups, criminal street gangs, and narcotics/drug rings. Paul was a frequent statewide speaker and lecturer on both the R.I.C.O. Act and Gang Act.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Camarillo tried numerous cases involving Homicide, White Collar crimes, Theft, Gangs, Narcotics Offenses, Armed Robbery, Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Domestic Violence, Rape, and Kidnapping.

His reputation as a formidable prosecutor was solidified through his involvement in the high-profile homicide case involving the murder of Ahmaud Arbery that captured national attention.  Paul’s thorough investigative approach and courtroom experience played a key role in securing convictions for the three Defendants charged in the murder.

Mr. Camarillo’s years of high level and complex prosecution experience shaped his understanding of both the inner workings of the criminal justice system and strategies employed by law enforcement and prosecutors.  As a defense lawyer, he brings extensive expertise in understanding how the government builds cases, which allows him to mount effective and multifaceted defenses. He is particularly adept at representing clients accused of crimes involving homicide, complex conspiracies, R.I.C.O., organized and white-collar crime, and street gang charges.

Today, he combines his extensive prosecutorial experience with a deep commitment to defending the rights of those clients accused of all serious criminal offenses.
